South Indian stars: Bollywood has always been the melting pot of acting talent. There is no denying the fact that the charm of the Bollywood film fraternity is so influential that it can even attract the superstars of different film industries especially South Indian industry.

Not only does the industry pick up blockbusters from South India for remakes, but some stars from the south industry have carved a niche for themselves in the industry.

Of the dozens of well-established names from South India that have forayed into Bollywood over the years, here is the list of the top 10 South Indian stars who took the Bollywood industry by storm:

1. Rajnikanth:Rajnikanth is known as the god of the South Indian film industry and we all know why. It is a matter of pride for Bollywood that he did some exceptionally great movies for the industry.

2. Kamal Hassan:

To be very honest, there are very few film industries in the nation where Kamal Hassan has not made his mark. When it comes to the south Indian actors making headline Bollywood, Kamal Hassan is surely on the top of that list. The actor has gone on to star in several critically acclaimed and commercially successful films over the years, including recent films such as Viswaroop and ek duje ke liye.

3. Dhanush:

Agree it or not but Dhanush should be declared a global star. He gave some exceptionally content in south India and also didn’t left a chance to impress Bollywood buffs. He is such a great artist he did his first Bollywood movie with legend Amitabh Bachchan. Dhanush’s work is so loved by the Hindi cinema that she is again coming back to Bollywood with Akshay Kumar’s Atrangi Re.

4. Prabhas:

The hype for South Indian superstar Prabhas after the release of Bahubaali was truly incomparable. We don’t think that even the Bollywood actors were able to get such love. From being a regional superstar, Prabhas was almost instantly catapulted to nationwide attention after his titular role in the mega-blockbuster Baahubali and Baahubali 2.

5. Asin:

We know after the release of Gajhani many of you thought that Asin is a Bollywood actress but she is originally a south Indian actor who made her mark in the Bollywood industry with movies like Ready and Khiladi 756.

6. Shriya Sharan:

Shriya is one actress who not just rules the throne in Tamil and Telugu movies, but has also made a mark whenever she has appeared in a Bollywood film. Her Awarapan and Drishyam are my personal favorite. What about you?

Prakash is the one actor who was destined to be a villain. He prefers to take up big projects and has been appreciated for films like Khakee, Wanted, Singham, Buddha Hoga Tera Baap, and Dabanng 2.

8. R. Madhavan:

It is really hard to find a versatile actor like R. Madhavan. From being a chocolate boy in RHTDM to being a cranky boxing coach in Sala Kadoos, Madavan managed to carve a niche for himself in the industry.

9. Rana Daggubatti:
